Barakat, Inc., is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the well-being of marginalized communities in Afghanistan, India and Pakistan by increasing access to education. Since its inception in 1999, Barakat, Inc. has developed rapidly and now serves over 2,900 women and children in its 7 schools and 26 literacy programs. The majority of people we serve are very poor and have no access to an education.
